FWL Shared Drive Change

We will be making a small change to the shared folder (S: drive) on Roadkill. This change is necessary to clean up our server on the backend and will only affect a small number of users who use OS9, OS X and people who manually map/connect to the current share \\roadkill\shared . Most Windows users will not SEE any problems as their shared drives are automatically mapped when logging in.
For Mac users and people who manually map/connect to the shared drive you will need to begin connecting to the new share \\roadkill\fwl-shared starting Monday September 11th. Mac users, please see the picture below for reference.
All users (Windows and Macs) will need to log off and log on again on Monday morning for the changes to take place.

Power Outage

There was a major power outage at about 3 PM. Power was restored about 4:30 PM and all network services for ANS, FST, and FWL were restored around 5:30 PM.

File Server Maintenance

We will be bringing down the file server (Roadkill) again on Tuesday, August 8th from 12 noon to 1 pm for further hardware maintenance. Please be sure to save and close any open files that are saved on the server at or before 12 noon. Please be aware that NO files will be lost during this down time. An email notice will be sent out when the server is back up.

Network Outage

Outlook Web Access

An update to the exchange server caused a problem with the web interface for email. The patch has been removed and normal functionality has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Network Drive Letter Changes

We will be making some adjustments to the PC drive mappings that you have on your computer. We will be changing the drive letters for ease of adminstration amoung all three departments. All other drive mappings are staying the same. If you manually map networked drives that use U: or S: you will need to remap those network drives manually to another drive letter. These new settings will take effect on Monday May 8th. You will need to logout on Friday in order for your new drive letters to map on Monday.
In general due to USB devices becoming more common please do not use drive letters lower than I:\ for mapping network shares.
Your new settings (effective Monday May 8th) after you login:
U:\ private
S:\ Shared
Please be aware that NO files will be deleted, we are simply changing the letter of the drive you will connect to.
